Designing a dream home for my clients is more than just a project; it’s a journey of collaboration, creativity, and transformation. This interior design project on Siesta Key began with a unique partnership — my client, a general contractor in the commercial field, also served as the general contractor (GC) for this build. We collaborated for two years on the construction of this beautiful canal home. As both a designer and project manager, the opportunity to bring someone’s vision to life and create a space that reflects their personality, lifestyle, and aspirations is incredibly rewarding.
The process begins by getting to know the client on a personal level. Listening to their dreams, desires, and preferences is key to understanding their vision for their dream home. Through in-depth conversations and consultations, I gain insight into their unique needs, aesthetic tastes, and functional requirements. In this case, they wanted to achieve a coastal feel at home for themselves and their family.
With a clear understanding of the client’s vision, I then move forward with 2D plans, 3D modeling, and 3D rendering. Drawing upon my expertise in architecture, interior design, and space planning, I develop customized plans and renderings that capture the essence of their dream home. Every design element is carefully considered — from layout and flow to materials and finishes — to ensure harmony and coherence throughout the space.
